Steven’s comic-shorts are the natural merging of his interest in graphic draftsmanship and his passion for sharing the true stories of World War Two veterans he meets and interviews. While most of his comics use visual storytelling to bring authentic events to life, one offers a more metaphoric journey into the artist’s mind.
Getting Ready / Mini-Comics
Based on an interview with veteran World War II pilot Harold Musikoff “Getting Ready”; is harrowing endurance test in the skies above the English Channel. This is a true story of extraordinary courage, willpower, and the refusal to surrender, even when surrounded by death.
Hallucination / Mini-Comics
Lonely comic artist Roderick wrestles with creative burnout, slowly losing his grip. A late-night visitor surprises the artist, knocking him out of his spiral of inertia, and jolting him out of a rut to confront the demons he’s hidden from everyone, including...himself!
Comic-Style illustrations
In addition to his oil painting, Steven is also passionate about graphic novels, particularly those that explore historical themes. He has interviewed World War II veterans and transformed their stories into powerful visual narratives. This unique blend of history and art has allowed Steven to preserve an important piece of the past while also showcasing his artistic talents.
